Dr. Staci Glee-Harts

Age: 35

City of residence: Jacksonville, FL

Current title: Physical Therapist

Place of business: Southeast Georgia Health System-Camden Campus

Professional responsibilities: As a physical therapist, I help patients improve their mobility and overall quality of life by designing a treatment plan which aligns with their specific goals and needs.

Accomplishments/Honors: Certified in Dry Needling

Community Involvement: Since 2022, nearly every Saturday I have ran a race (5k, 10k, or half marathon) benefitting various causes and organizations such as Big Brother Little Sister, the Borland Groover Foundation for Colon Cancer Screening/Awareness, Girls of Virtue, the Donna Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness and many more.

Why did you go into your particular field? In my high school years, I realized that every day we do so many activities and movements which we take for granted. If I’m able to help an individual reach their highest quality of life, I’m happy. I love helping people get more functional and reach their goals.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? In elementary school, I wanted to be a computer technician. I even dressed as one during Career Day.

What was your first job? I actually didn’t have a “real” job until after I completed my undergraduate studies because my dad wanted me to focus on school. So I worked at Bath and Body Works until I was accepted into Grad School.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? “Everything in moderation….. including moderation.”

What’s your favorite thing about your job? I love educating my patients on their conditions, how we treat them and etc. When my patients tell me “no one has explained this to me before”, it really makes me feel like I’m doing my job to my best ability. PT is physical but it’s a lot of education involved as well.

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you first started your career? I wish I knew that many of the stressors that come along with being a PT are temporary.

Who do you consider to be your greatest mentor and why? Equally my parents, hands down. I continue to strive to become the great woman that my mom is and even though my dad passed away over 10 years ago, I still value the lessons he’s taught me every day.

When you’re not at work, what do you do to relax?

If I’m not running, I’m most likely spending the majority of my time with my fur-baby, my Mini Goldendoodle, Cooper. He’s one of my greatest gifts.

What is something about you that most people don’t know? I’m the youngest of 4 siblings.

How do you hope to grow in your career? I’m very excited about re-starting Women’s Health PT at our Camden campus. It is a very specialized area of physical therapy that is beneficial to many women throughout their entire lives.

If you couldn’t do what you’re doing now, what would you be doing? I literally couldn’t see myself doing anything else. I have the best job and best patients in the world.
