John “JC” Ceafus Carver Sr., 74, of Kingsland passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at Allison Memorial Chapel.

JC was born Feb. 1, 1947, in Bath, South Carolina, to James Curtis and Lucy Arrington Carver. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Coming from Augusta, he had lived in Camden County for the past 38 years. He loved spending time with his family and he enjoyed playing golf, fishing and going out on the Emerald Princess with Jessica. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog football and Atlanta Braves baseball fan.

JC is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Johnson Carver of Kingsland; a son, John C. Carver II (Barbi), and daughters, Lynne Vendette (Jereme) and Jessica Spinks (Preston), all of Kingsland; and brothers, Lonnie Carver and Lewis Carver (Debbie), both of Augusta, and Wyman Carver of Woodbine; grandchildren, Trey Dozier (Papa's bull), John Tyler Dozier, Claudia Rose Carver, Dana Dunlap Carver, Madison Gillespie, Ethan Spinks and Hayden Spinks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James and Lucy Carver, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Jean; sisters, Lucille, Helen, Dorothy and Brenda; and brothers, James, Robert and Jimmy.

Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
