TAYLOR — Johnnie Taylor was born Nov. 3, 1953, to the late Mack Taylor Sr. and Pearlie Mae Taylor. He graduated from Camden High School. He was employed by Gilman Paper Company/Durango for 33 years.

On Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, Johnnie transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home at Southeast Georgia Health System’s Brunswick Campus.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mack Taylor Sr. and Pearlie Mae Taylor; grandparents; and siblings, Ronnie Taylor, Roy Chester Taylor, John A. Taylor, Helen Taylor, Gertrude Spellman, Edna Mae Fraticelli and Geraline Taylor Fuller.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Beatrice Taylor; children, Shakia Green, Derrick Washington, LaTonya (Bernard) Foreman, ClintLeon (Cykenia) Sullivan Sr., Kendall (Roberta) Williams and Natasha Poole; grandchildren, Javarius, Tiana, Cymone, C.J., Onyx, Mykala, Chris, Cyerra, Sinaia’, Kenya, Caden and Caleb; two brothers, Mack (Grenda) Taylor Jr. and Sammy Lee Campbell; two sisters, Barbara Ann (Malichi) Albertie and Pastor Evelyn Taylor; three devoted nephews, Willie Jones, Adarius Jones and Mack Taylor III; special sister-in-law, Claretha Sullivan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, at Georgia Avenue Church of God, 740 N. Georgia St. in Kingsland, Ga. There will be no wake. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
