Despite harsh words from community leaders, the Camden County Joint Development Authority voted to eliminate the funding of a military liaison as it approved its 2017-2018 budget on Friday.

After reaching the final 16 of the Class 7A playoffs, Camden County High baseball had seven players earn either first-team, second-team or honorable mention all-region honors.

Chala Carey had the best placements for Camden County High track and field at the Class 7A state meets last weekend in Rome, with third in the 100 meters and fourth in the 200.
