Road less traveled

Coastal Plains High School was built on the theme that there is no single path to success, and its most recent Camden County graduates were urged to sustain that resilience well beyond their diploma ceremony last Thursday night.

Saltwater presents ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’

Saltwater’s Straight Play Troupe brings a light and satirical show to the stage in Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest.” Earnest is a wildly entertaining “trivial comedy for serious people” that sparkles with dazzling wordplay and hilariously unlikely situations.

Camden Fire Rescue honors new firefighters, announces promotions

The Camden County Board of Commissioners announced that members of Recruit Class 2026-23 have successfully completed their Basic Firefighter requirements. In addition, several Camden County Fire Rescue personnel earned promotions in recognition of their continued service and leadership.

St. Marys Little Theatre will host its first production in its new location. The production of the laugh-out-loud southern comedy, “Always a Bridesmaid,” will run June 25-28.

St. Marys City Council approved a $31 million general fund budget Monday that could result in a tax increase later this year.The elected body voted 4-2 to approve the budget with Councilmen Chad Ingram and Steve Conner opposed.
