Saltwater Performing Arts Coastal Cabaret Annual Awards Show returns 7-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Georgia Coastal Railway in Kingsland, Ga.
Throughout the night, cast members from seasons 7 and 8 productions bring to the stage memorable musical numbers from the past two season’s favorite shows. Relax while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, beverages and musical presentations. Award announcements of this year’s winners in each category add to the excitement of the evening.
Nominees include Saltwater veterans and newcomers alike, and represent Camden, Glynn and Nassau counties. Tickets are available at saltwaterpac.com/events.
The award categories for each troupe (Junior, Mainstage and Encore) are Best Male Lead, Best Female Lead, Best Supporting Male Character (including females playing male roles), Best Supporting Female Character, Best Vocals, Best Dancer, Spotlight Ensemble Member and Outstanding Newcomer. Additional awards to be announced at the event: Outstanding Technical Crew member by troupe, Saltwater Performing Arts Overall Lifetime Achievement Award, Volunteer of the Year Awards, and the Fan Favorite Award.
The event is being held at The Georgia Coastal Railway, 440 S. Lee St. in Kingsland. The attire is semi-formal. Tickets are $20.
